Privacy policy

Welcome to Trek India Route (https://trekindiaroute.com/).

We are an independent, personalized travel venture dedicated to creating thoughtful road trips, custom travel itineraries, and memorable destination experiences across India. We respect your trust and believe your personal information should be handled honestly, securely, and transparently.

This policy explains clearly what information we collect when you visit our website or plan a journey with us, why we need it, and how your privacy is protected.

  1. Information We Collect
We collect only the details necessary to answer your travel queries and coordinate your custom trip seamlessly:
  • Contact Details: When you reach out via our contact form, email, phone, or WhatsApp, we collect your name, phone number, and email address so we can communicate directly with you.
  • Travel Preferences: Information about your preferred travel dates, destinations, vehicle choices, group size, and travel pace to help us design your personalized itinerary.
  • Identity Details for Permits & Stays: For regions requiring inner-line permits, high-altitude border passes, or standard hotel check-in verifications, we may collect valid government ID proofs (such as Aadhaar, Voter ID, or Passport copies) strictly for official clearances and reservations.
  • Website Analytics: Like most websites, our host server collects standard, non-personal technical data (such as browser type, device details, and pages viewed) to keep the site fast and reliable.
  1. How We Use Your Information
We use your personal details strictly to deliver your travel experience and provide customer support:
  • To plan, refine, and confirm your custom travel itinerary with you.
  • To coordinate private vehicle allocations, trusted local drivers, and boutique stays or camps chosen for your route.
  • To obtain required regional travel clearances and local tourist permits on your behalf.
  • To answer your route questions, share itinerary updates, and assist you while you are on the road.
  • We never sell, rent, trade, or share your contact information with telemarketers or third-party advertising networks.
  1. Who We Share Necessary Details With
Because our trips are private and custom-planned, we share only essential operational information with trusted ground partners directly involved in your journey:
  • Assigned Private Drivers: Your name, contact number, and pickup/drop points so they can coordinate smooth transit on travel days.
  • Homestays & Stays: Guest names and identification copies required by regional hospitality regulations for legitimate check-in.
  • Administrative & Tourism Desks: Required identification documents submitted directly to official check-posts or regional administrative offices for protected mountain or border zone permits.
  1. Cookies & Website Browsing
Our website may use standard cookies and analytics tools (like Google Analytics) to understand which road travel guides and routes visitors find most helpful.
  • Cookies help enhance navigation and improve website loading performance.
  • You can disable cookies at any time through your personal browser settings without losing access to any of our travel guides.
  1. Keeping Your Data Safe
We take sensible, responsible precautions to protect your personal details and identity documents from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. Identification proofs shared for travel permits are stored securely and accessed exclusively for the time needed to secure your travel clearances.
